Jaroslav Břeský is one of the most respected solo performers singing the repertoire of the legendary band Queen in Europe. His performances are exceptional not only due to his exceptionally faithful voice color, but also due to his authentic movements, gestures and stage presentation, which are reminiscent of Freddie Mercury himself.
A major turning point in his career came in 2009, when, after more than a hundred performances, he met Peter Freestone - Freddie Mercury's personal assistant and one of his closest people. Freestone allowed him to see the world of the rock legend from the most authentic perspective and provided valuable advice on performing and speaking. It was Peter Freestone who later said that Jaroslav Břeský had the most similar voice to Freddie Mercury's that he had ever heard. This exceptional comment gave a new dimension to the Freddie Mercury Revival project.
In 2010, Jaroslav was invited by the Swiss music management company Montreux Music to one of the biggest events for Queen fans – Freddie Mercury's official birthday party in Montreux, Switzerland.
In 2016, he also took part in the prestigious singing competition QUEEN FACTOR, which was part of the celebrations of Freddie Mercury's unlived 70th birthday. He took 2nd place in strong international competition. The winner of this competition now sings with the only official Queen tribute band – QUEEN EXTRAVAGANZA, personally selected by Roger Taylor and Brian May. His performance caught the attention of Brian May himself, who subsequently published it on his official Facebook.
He performed at the sold-out Lucerna in Prague in 2016 and 2017 as part of the "Czech Stars Sing Queen" tour, where he shared the stage with leading Czech singers. During his career, he has performed in Germany, Poland, the Netherlands, Croatia, India, Austria, Slovakia and Switzerland.
He also received significant recognition in 2018, when he and the group completed a sold-out tour in India, and his performance was even featured in the most prestigious music magazine, ROLLING STONE. The first concert of this series was officially opened by Jehangir Bulsara, Freddie Mercury's cousin. He was so impressed by Jaroslav Břeský's performance that he symbolically offered to use Mercury's middle name - Bulsara, as a tribute to his talent and dedication to Freddie's legacy.
